The preparation

The ONLY thing to prepare is to put an egg yolk in a cup, add some liquid creme and mix it with a fork, see photo below please. You need as well to cut the ham in small pieces as well as the cheese (Chaumes).

I will propose to YOU two different marinades which I tried out recently: one marinade with honey and one marinade with “Dijon Mustard”. Both are delicious, please find below the ingredients list for both marinades:

To prepare the marinade is very easy, it will be done in 10 minutes ONLY! Take a shallow dish and bring in the following ingredients:

  • Pepper
  • Soy sauce
  • Oyster sauce
  • Honey
  • Garlic minced (1 coffee spoon)
  • Ginger minced (1 coffee spoon)
  • Olive oil
  • Thyme
  • Chilly powder
  • Piment d’espelette

Mix now everything with a whisk, taste the marinade and adjust it to YOUR taste… .

OK, the marinade finished now, WE can bring in the chicken wings and chicken drumsticks and later put the shallow dish with the whole into the fridge where WE leave it for +/- 20 hours. You can also ONLY let it 2 hours in the fridge, but as longer as better…

The Ingredients For Marinade With Honey AND Dijon Mustard

To prepare the marinade is very easy, it will be done in 10 minutes ONLY! Take a shallow dish and bring in the following ingredients, actually THE same as above PLUS the “Dijon Mustard”:

  • Pepper
  • Soy sauce
  • Oyster sauce
  • Honey
  • Garlic minced (1 coffee spoon)
  • Ginger minced (1 coffee spoon)
  • Olive oil
  • Thyme
  • Chilly powder
  • Piment d’espelette
  • Dijon Mustard

Mix now everything with a whisk, taste the marinade and adjust it to YOUR taste… .

OK, the marinade finished now, WE can bring in the chicken wings and chicken drumsticks and later put the shallow dish with the whole into the fridge where WE leave it for +/- 20 hours. You can also ONLY let it 2 hours in the fridge, but as longer as better…

I didn’t YET try out this marinade for meat, but will do as soon as the BBQ-Season is open! It tastes very delicious 😉

THE Cooking

YOU can use this on the “BBQ” and/or by cooking them in the oven. Actually (February) I cooked them in the oven. Preheat the oven on 180°C (356°F). It will take +/- 12 minutes, so stay close to the oven to observe when the upper side is nearly brown (+/- 5-6 minutes) and turn the pieces, so that both sides get well brown.

Cooking: Menus From My Country Luxembourg

As I try since ages (15 years already by 2013) to connect with others on a global view to share values, culture, knowledge, different point of views and mentality in different countries, lets go for sharing what people eat in different countries. I will start with typically menus of my country Luxembourg. YOU are invited by doing the same on YOUR own blogs, it’s an approach for the digital citizen community, who WE are and how WE are living…

As more WE know from each other as BETTER it is for ===> communication <=== for a BETTER world… By knowing a country’s mentality and how people are living, knowing their Lifestyle, it is more easy anyway…

Check the slideshow below, please to see the different menus who are served in a typically Luxembourg household (ONLY where people still know how to cook)…

The above shown images are NOT YET giving details about what it is and how it was cooked, I am planning to post that later in defined posts for each menu… Check out also my french blog here with more menus and detailed HowTo with photos:

Stay tuned for next posts 😉
